The two RV Gypsies went to
The Great Alaskan Bowl Company
4630 Old Airport Road
Fairbanks, Alaska 99709
phone: -'907.474.9663
July 9, 2016

2016 Summer Hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. 7 Days a Week
2016 Winter Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11-6 p.m. Sunday

The two RV Gypsies and family went to The Great Alaskan Bowl Company to watch craftsmen turn birch logs into heirloom bowls and browse about 1,500 "Made in Alaska" products. Renee, John and Ilse custom designed their own laser engraved bowl.

Started over 20 years ago, this family-run business is one of the last operational bowl mills in America, and it thrives because of the quality products and large selection, including unique wood bowls, plus products including foods and cookbooks, clothing and jewelry.

Unique bowls ranged from about $20 and on up. The two RV Gypsies also visited the Bowl Company in 2009 when they were in Alaska.
